Account to Reviewed Proposal

Select an eligible counterparty, review qualification and prepare a proposal with a clear next activity.

Step by step

  1. Select the account Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner chooses the active counterparty within the correct organization and creates a New opportunity. Record the expected USD value, close date and assigned owner before preparing the qualification discussion.

    • New opportunity has an eligible counterparty and owner
    • Updates Accounts, Opportunities, Organizations, Team members
  2. Capture the fit evidence Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner records the relevant activity outcome and supporting material. The account's eligibility note, owner and applicable call-consent evidence should be available for the reviewer.

    • Qualification context stays with the opportunity
    • Updates Relationship activities, Record attachments, Opportunities
  3. Approve qualification Sales Manager

Sales Manager reviews the current opportunity version. An accepted qualification moves the opportunity to Qualified. If the fit is not established, retain New and explain the remaining issue in the decision or activity evidence.

    • Reviewed qualification moves New to Qualified
    • Updates Opportunities, Review decisions
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Review the proposal Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner prepares the proposal scope and next activity, then Sales Manager reviews the submitted version. Approval supports the move to Proposal with the outcome retained in activity history.

    • Approval supports the Proposal stage
    • Updates Opportunities, Relationship activities, Review decisions, Record attachments
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  5. Follow the customer discussion Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner records Negotiation when negotiation actually begins. Maintain the expected close date and probability for the operating review rather than treating a sent proposal as a customer acceptance.

    • Actual negotiation and next activity are recorded
    • Updates Opportunities, Relationship activities

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Wrong organization. An account with a familiar name may belong to another organization. Resolve that mismatch before submitting the opportunity.
  • Changed submission. A reviewer needs the version being acted on. Changed scope must not rely on an earlier decision.
  • Unclear next activity. A proposal without a useful follow-up outcome leaves the owner and manager without a clear next conversation.
