Reconcile and Correct

Read the existing result before retrying work and preserve executed history when a correction is required.

Step by step

  1. Find the unresolved action Sales Manager

Sales Manager identifies a Pending or Failed receipt and its opportunity. Review the action and recorded explanation before asking the owner to repeat it.

    • Pending or Failed action is identified for review
    • Updates Operation receipts, Opportunities
  2. Read the linked outcome Sales Manager

Sales Manager checks the local effects and, where configured, the authoritative external reference. Compare the identity and reviewed scope with the action that was requested.

    • Existing effects are compared with the intended scope
    • Updates Operation receipts, Call sessions, Review decisions
  3. Record the reconciliation Sales Manager

A matching outcome can become Completed. A discrepancy becomes Needs review with a real explanation. Keep the issue visible when the expected effect cannot be established.

    • Matching outcome is Completed or discrepancy needs review
    • Updates Operation receipts
  4. Distinguish the correction Relationship Owner

Relationship Owner identifies whether the requested scope has executed. Unexecuted scope can be cancelled through the responsible path; executed scope needs a corrective action that retains the original identity.

    • Executed and unexecuted scope follow different handling
    • Updates Opportunities, Relationship activities, Review decisions, Operation receipts
  5. Review the corrective action Sales Manager

Sales Manager approves the correction for executed scope after reviewing the prior activities, decisions and receipts. Relationship Owner follows the eligible action and checks its result without erasing the original evidence.

    • Approved correction retains the original evidence
    • Updates Review decisions, Operation receipts, Opportunities
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Blind retry. A missing confirmation does not establish that nothing happened. Read the existing outcome before another execution attempt.
  • Unrelated external reference. A provider result must match the same identity and reviewed scope before it establishes completion.
  • Overwritten history. A correction to executed work needs to preserve the original decision and effect for later review.
