Identify sender Import Operator
The Import Operator chooses the submitting organization and the person who owns the batch. Compare the sender name with the organization record before assigning work.

Select definition Validation Steward
The Validation Steward confirms that the selected definition belongs to the organization and is effective for the submission date.
- Tie the submission to its rule set.

Record source Import Operator
The Import Operator records the batch number, imported date, source hash and revision. Attach source evidence to the batch when needed.
