Who it's for

Retail storefronts

A merchant selling shippable goods across its own storefront can keep catalog, basket, order and parcel records together. Start with a bounded range of products and one shipping flow. The same order should connect the customer's selected item, shipping address, payment evidence and shipment. This lets service staff answer ordinary delivery questions using the actual transaction.

How Delivery Slot Management is set up for you

Catalog

Give products stable handles and variants with the SKU and price the customer sees. Assign each product to the appropriate catalog and category.

Checkout

Review the available payment and shipping methods, tax rates and discounts for the market before taking orders.

Warehouse

Track on-hand and reserved quantity by variant and warehouse code, then record the outbound parcel against its booking.

Service

Use booking status, shipment tracking and refund records to resolve a customer question without replacing the original history.

Choose a small product range with an ordinary order, one exception and one customer return. Have Catalog Manager confirm the sellable variants and Merchant Owner confirm the commercial setup. A shopper can then place a basket and booking using a real address. Warehouse Operator follows the parcel, while Customer Service Rep checks the booking and shipment when the customer asks for an update.

Make the handoff explicit. The order's financial status, fulfillment status and parcel status may change at different times. Staff should look at the relevant record before telling a customer that payment cleared or a delivery arrived. If a parcel enters Exception, assign it for investigation and preserve its carrier reference.

A refund should refer back to the booking and show its amount, reason and processing status. Decide who records the request, who makes the approval decision, and how returned goods are treated in stock. Compare the recorded refund with the booking's refunded amount during the pilot. Review the results with the same people who will operate the system after launch.

Features to start with

Roles on the team

Warehouse Operator
Floor worker. Picks, packs, prints labels, marks shipments and handles RMA intake, with physical inventory adjustment. Order read is restricted to shipping data; payments, refunds, pricing and customer accounts are out of scope.
Customer Service Rep
Front line for shopper support: order lookups, address edits pre-ship, cancellations, notes, refunds and RM as within ceiling, and review moderation. Card data masked; cost and margin masked.
Catalog Manager
Merchandising lead. Owns product authoring, category taxonomy, collection curation, SEO metadata, imagery and copy. Read-only on inventory, orders and reviews (can flag, cannot finalise moderation).
Merchant Owner
Founder / Head of E-commerce. Owns the online P&L, merchandising, pricing and promotional posture. Full read on every table, record entry on catalog, pricing, promotion and payment configuration, and approve refunds above threshold.
