How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Document Automation for your business. Start with one matter, its counterparty, a conflict decision, a document revision and a named reviewer.

Who opens a matter?

The Matter Coordinator prepares the matter with an organization, counterparty and owner. The Supervising Attorney makes the conflict decision before engagement.

How is a document revision identified?

Use the document title, revision and content hash together. The matter link places it in the case where it belongs.

Who decides whether a document can be shared?

The Supervising Attorney checks the exact revision, privilege treatment, recipient and authorization reference before production.

How are template versions reviewed?

The coordinator submits a specific revision. The attorney approves or rejects that submitted version and retains the dated decision.

What happens after a rejection?

The coordinator prepares a corrected revision for another review. The earlier rejected decision remains in the matter history.

How do owners track deadlines?

Each deadline has a matter, type, due date and team member owner. Completion and a relevant receipt show the outcome.

Can auditors inspect the decisions?

The Auditor role can read authorized matter, document, decision and evidence records without editing the source work.

What if an external action is uncertain?

Inspect the operation receipt and external reference. Reconcile the original attempt before deciding whether another action is needed.

Where does signing fit?

A signing service is a connection to choose and set up. The team should bind its request and receipt to the approved document version.
