Get started
Configure the order-management scope with your channels, stock authority and team.
-
1
Start with your order operation
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure E-commerce Order Management for your business. Identify the channels and warehouse locations for the first scope, the authority for stock and prices, and the people who resolve customer, warehouse and payment exceptions.
Bring examples of a normal order, a shortage, a split shipment, a late cancellation and a partial return. Those examples make the operating rules concrete without exposing real payment credentials or unnecessary customer details.

2
Prove the important handoffs
Map order and line identities, SKU units, currencies and provider references. Agree independent commercial and refund approvals. Test duplicate intake, competing reservations, lost warehouse acknowledgements, stale approvals and unknown refund results in an appropriate test workspace. An integration remains disabled until its scope and outcomes reconcile.
Use the [implementation guide](/e-commerce-order-management/implementation/) to plan migration and cutover. [Platform pricing](/e-commerce-order-management/pricing/) covers usage; channel setup, data migration and implementation work are agreed separately.

3
Expand from a reconciled first scope
Review the first channel's actual order, stock, warehouse and financial outcomes. Confirm the team can recover from the exception cases before adding more channels or locations. Keep original customer promises, source identities and decision evidence throughout later changes. Use Proto to propose the next configuration change for review, then rerun the affected acceptance cases before release.
