Duty interval import

Submit verified driver activity, obtain independent approval and confirm the import receipt.

Step by step

  1. Prepare the interval Dispatcher

Dispatcher selects the load and operating organization, then enters the driver, duty state, start time and duration. Compare the activity with its source record. Retain enough source identity in the linked evidence to trace the import afterward.

    • Attach driver activity to its operating context
    • Updates Duty intervals, Loads, Organizations
  2. Submit the revision Dispatcher

Dispatcher moves the interval from Draft to Submitted. Freeze the submitted revision for review and establish the matching parent revision. Material corrections need a clear new review context so the supervisor can identify exactly what is being decided.

    • Establish the submitted interval and matching parent revision
    • Updates Duty intervals, Loads
  3. Decide independently Transport Supervisor

Transport Supervisor checks the submitted activity and records Approve, Reject or Return with a reason. Approval moves the interval to Approved; rejection moves it to Rejected. A return requests correction while retaining the decision evidence. Dispatcher cannot supply the independent approval for their own submission.

    • Record the independent decision and its reason
    • Updates Duty intervals, Review decisions, Team members
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Confirm the import Dispatcher

Dispatcher executes the eligible approved action using its stable operation identity. Complete the interval only after the receipt is persisted and the effects are verified. A failed or uncertain outcome goes to investigation with the existing evidence retained.

    • Retain the receipt before marking the interval Completed
    • Updates Duty intervals, Operation receipts

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • The driver identity is ambiguous. Compare the activity source with the assignment before asking the supervisor to decide.
  • The load changed during review. Check the source revision again; an earlier decision must not silently authorize a materially different operation.
  • Approval is mistaken for completion. Inspect the receipt and effects before closing the interval. Preserve an uncertain attempt for reconciliation.
