Regional election teams
A regional team can separate work by responsible organization while reviewing the same case and evidence pattern. The working unit can choose its organization and service definitions before assigning cases. The record follows an application from preparation through review to a delivered response, with linked evidence and a visible correction path.
How Election Management is set up for you
Intake
A Case Officer assigns an owner and service definition to an application submitted to a regional office. The case number becomes the reference used in conversations and follow-up.
Evidence
Requirement lines, documents and assigned actions keep open questions beside the case. Staff can see which item is still pending and who is responsible for resolving it.
Decision
An Authorized Reviewer examines a specific revision and records an approval, return or rejection with an evidence reference and reason when needed.
Delivery
The team retains the operation key, attempt, run and step receipts before recording the delivered outcome. An uncertain external result stays visible for reconciliation.
A regional team can separate work by responsible organization while reviewing the same case and evidence pattern. The working unit can choose its organization and service definitions before assigning cases. The record follows an application from preparation through review to a delivered response, with linked evidence and a visible correction path.
Start with one active service definition and one organization. Choose an application that needs a document, a requirement outcome and a human review. Agree which source reference identifies the originating request. Assign a Case Officer and a separate Authorized Reviewer, then rehearse a returned decision and a corrected revision. Check that a reader can find the original evidence and the later reason without asking the preparer.
After the first case, review the status board and pending-decision list with the team. Confirm that follow-up actions have assignees and due dates. For a delivered case, compare the delivery reference with the execution run. Make the next service definition available only after this handoff works for the people who operate it.
Features to start with
Case Intake
The Case Officer opens a case for an application handled by the election office.
Independent Decisions
An Authorized Reviewer examines a verified case revision and records a decision tied to that revision.
Configuration and History
The Service Administrator maintains the service definitions used by cases.
Roles on the team
- Case Officer
- Prepares assigned work: record entry on Cases, Application Requirements, Case Actions and Case Documents, read-only on configuration, review and provenance tables. Scope to authorized organizations is enforced by workflow guards.
- Read Only Analyst
- Reads authorized summaries and aggregates across every table plus the four Election Management pages. No record creation or editing, no schema or administrative capability.
- Service Administrator
- Maintains approved configuration: record entry on Public Services, read-only on all operational, review and provenance tables, and access to all four Election Management pages. No schema editing, deletion, bulk operations or export grants.
- Authorized Reviewer
- Reviews independent assigned work: record entry on Decisions only, read-only on every other table. Reviewers cannot approve their own preparation; the workflow guards enforce reviewer independence.
