What you can do
Application intake in daily work
The Credit Officer begins with a borrower in the right organization and a named owner for the request. The borrower record carries contact and eligibility notes; the application carries its own subject, requested principal and revision. A request can remain Draft while the officer checks the identity, evidence and organizational scope.
The borrower belongs to an organization, while the application names its own borrower, owner and requested principal. Credit Officer checks those links before moving a Draft request to Review. App Administrator maintains the borrower record; the officer owns the request and its attachments. A later change to principal must be distinguishable from the version the reviewer saw.
How the work is organized
- Identify the request. Use the application number and subject when sharing a case with the next person.
- Check scope. Confirm that borrower and application belong to the same organization.
- Keep the revision. Update the application revision when the reviewed request changes.
What to agree during setup
Agree who may create borrower records, how an application number is assigned and what evidence the officer must attach before Review. Define the handoff between the owner and the independent approver. A principal change after review begins should have a new revision so the decision remains tied to the amount actually reviewed.
Agree who assigns an application number and which borrower details the Credit Officer must check before submission. Choose the supporting attachment needed for an independent decision. Rehearse a request returned for clarification: the owner corrects it, keeps the earlier review decision visible and submits the changed revision for another look.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Take a borrower request for a $24,000 principal. Enter the borrower, organization, owner and subject, then attach the supporting document. Check that the request appears in the owner’s list and that the reviewer sees the same revision and amount. Return it to the officer if the supporting evidence needs correction.
The Credit Officer should be able to open the request from My applications and explain its borrower, requested principal and next state. The Independent Credit Approver should find the same request in Review queue. If the borrower belongs elsewhere or the amount differs from the attachment, leave it in review while the owner corrects it.
