Account reconciliation

The Independent Finance Reviewer compares dated account balances and source-identified movements with confirmed instructions. A movement becomes Matched only when its account, amount and confirmed occurrence date agree exactly with the linked instruction. An approximate match stays open.

Step by step

  1. Identify account Operations Analyst

The Operations Analyst selects the active trading account and its provider account ID. The dated snapshot establishes the provider ledger and available balance being examined.

    • Establish account and dated balance
    • Updates Trading accounts, Position snapshots
  2. Collect movements Operations Analyst

The analyst brings the provider event ID, occurrence date and amount into the account's movement record. The source identifier stays attached when the provider later sends a correction.

    • Retain source event and movement facts
    • Updates Reconciliation items
  3. Compare instruction Independent Finance Reviewer

The Independent Finance Reviewer checks the same account against the instruction's account rows, exact requested amount and confirmed occurrence date. A differing amount, date or account remains Unmatched or becomes Exception.

    • Check account, amount and confirmed date
    • Updates Instructions, Instruction accounts, Execution evidence
  4. Record resolution Independent Finance Reviewer

The reviewer links a valid movement to its instruction and marks it Matched. An unresolved discrepancy retains its provider event ID and investigation trail.

    • Link exact match or retain exception
    • Updates Reconciliation items, Instructions
