Who it's for

Multi-site operations

A team responsible for several operating units needs a dependable way to separate site context without scattering review work. Each unit has a code, contact and address under an organization. An assessment names the unit for its period, while permit measurements name the organization and parent assessment. This helps the reviewer find the place and period behind a reading.

How Environmental Compliance is set up for you

Unit context

Confirm the business unit on every assessment before planning its tests.

Shared control language

Use control codes and owner names that let teams locate the right mitigation at each unit.

Local evidence

Put a reading's supporting attachment under its assessment and identify its evidence type.

Exception handoff

Give findings and corrective actions named owners so work does not stay in a central queue without an operator.

A team responsible for several operating units needs a dependable way to separate site context without scattering review work. Each unit has a code, contact and address under an organization. An assessment names the unit for its period, while permit measurements name the organization and parent assessment. This helps the reviewer find the place and period behind a reading.

Start with one organization and two operating units. Choose one assessment period for each unit and use a small set of risks and active controls that the local team can explain. Enter a real reading pattern with permit identifiers, dates, values and units. Rehearse an ordinary submission and one returned for missing support. The independent reviewer should be able to reach the correct unit and evidence from either reading.

Then open a finding on a failed control test for one unit. Assign its corrective action to a named owner and have someone else retest it. The compliance lead can compare work across units through assessment status and findings without treating similarly named controls or permits as the same local event. Agree in advance how unit codes and contacts change when an operation is reorganized; historical assessments should still identify where work occurred.
