The tables behind Environmental Conservation

Environmental Conservation ships with 11 tables, grouped here by the feature that uses them. Every record your team works with lives in one of them, and you can add fields and tables in Proto.

How the model is organised

Sites and habitats:

Sites, habitat sites. Keep each surveyed boundary with its site and date.

Restoration cycles:

Restoration cycles, field tasks, Findings. Connect planned work and accepted measures to the effort under review.

Field evidence:

Observations, Findings. Preserve site scouting separately from reviewed cycle measures.

Treatments:

Treatment stocks, treatment usage, treatment applications. Distinguish stock lots, task consumption and site applications.

People and access:

Users, People. Keep assignments, applications and acceptance tied to named actors.

Keys and references

Use stable site and person references rather than copied display names. Every task needs its site, cycle and assignee. Each finding belongs to a cycle and names its accepting person. A treatment use belongs to a stock lot and task; an application belongs to a site and applicator. Keep quantity and unit together and preserve dates in their own fields. Reconcile the site on a cycle with the site on its tasks.

Migration order

  1. Load Users and People, then confirm the identity link for each operator and reviewer.
  2. Load Sites with their field codes, status, location and area.
  3. Load dated habitat sites surveys and Observations against the correct Sites.
  4. Load restoration cycles, then field tasks and Findings with their references.
  5. Load treatment stocks before treatment usage and treatment applications; reconcile lot quantities and sample site work.
