Keys and references

Human document numbers help the team find a record; references identify the actual related record. Preserve Entity and Currency scope when loading opening balances or historical commitments. Document revisions retains the frozen source and version used for review. Integration events carries source key and content hash so connection handling can distinguish repeated delivery from different content.

Some links use a type and text identifier, including Activities.related type and Activities.related ID. Validate the target explicitly during migration. Do not assume a text identifier provides the same referential checks as a native reference. Preserve operation key and reversal references when moving transactional history.

Migration order

  1. Organization and access. Establish Entities, Currencies, Employees and Users, then confirm login-to-employee mapping.
  2. Trading and accounting masters. Load Accounts, contact persons, payment terms, chart of accounts, bank accounts and the applicable tax references.
  3. Products and operations. Load Products, Warehouses, BO ms, Routings and work centers with their dependent lines and reviewed policies.
  4. Open commercial scope. Reconcile Leads, Opportunities, Quotes, Contracts, sales orders and purchase orders before importing related execution.
  5. Operational and financial openings. Reconcile Inventory, receipt acceptance, open invoices and bills, unapplied cash and asset books with their source evidence.
  6. Current activity. Resume work in the agreed period, retain migration batches and migration items, and check source-to-result links before accepting the cutover.
