What you can do
Review the season from its linked operating records
Business Overview shows crop-cycle stage distribution, field readiness and a ranked attention queue linked to the exact cycle. Farm Manager follows an item into that crop’s record and investigates the work behind it. Agronomy Reviewer follows harvest and grading evidence when the team discusses an apparent season outcome.
Planned, Planted, Growing, Harvesting and Closed describe the crop cycle’s recorded stage. An expected harvest date describes the plan; the actual date comes from harvest acceptance. A growing crop and an unfinished task need their own follow-up. Use the source links to identify the operating decision behind the summary.
How the work is organized
- Crop-stage review. Start with the field, crop name and variety alongside the stage. A distribution helps locate work; open the exact cycle to understand its tasks and dates. Farm Manager reviews actual progress before updating a stage.
- Attention follow-up. Open the cycle referenced by the Business Overview queue. Review unfinished tasks with their due dates and assigned people. Agree a next action with the responsible operator, then return to the cycle when the work has been resolved.
- Harvest context. Review harvested quantities and grade weights with their units and source references. Agronomy Reviewer explains the acceptance outcome. Farm Manager checks remaining work when a harvested crop stays Harvesting rather than closing the discussion at the summary.
What to agree during setup
Choose the fields and crop cycles included in the first review. Agree when Farm Manager reviews planting progress and how unfinished work is discussed with Field Operator. Use the farm’s own due dates and expected harvest dates to decide what needs attention. Rehearse Business Overview with representative cases so the team understands which source record each queue item opens.
Configure the views and analytical definitions needed for that review. Agree reading access when Farm Manager needs harvest or grading context and when Agronomy Reviewer needs task detail. Keep observation types and units consistent before discussing measurement changes. Assign someone to resolve an unclear date or source reference before it becomes part of a season conclusion.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Review East Plot with a growing crop cycle and an unfinished task due for follow-up. Open the relevant attention item and confirm that it reaches East Plot’s intended cycle. Farm Manager finds the task’s assigned operator and agrees the next action. Keep the expected harvest date visible as a planning date while recording actual work separately.
Review another case with an accepted harvest whose cycle remains Harvesting because work is still open. Agronomy Reviewer checks the actual date and grade evidence. Follow a grade with rejected weight back to the harvest, comparing only compatible units. The manager should be able to explain which task prevents closure and who owns it. Rehearse the agreed later closing action after that work is resolved, then check the season context again.
What your team sees
- Crop Cycle Board — Crop stages with field and variety identity for the season discussion.
- Overdue Field Work — Unfinished assignments due today or earlier for follow-up with their owners.
- Active Crop Cycles — The stages and dates behind the review, alongside Business Overview’s linked attention queue.
Follow the work through
Follow yield evidence to season review, or return to approved field work when unfinished tasks require action.
