Field to crop cycle

A crop plan needs a recognizable field and planting intention. Follow the saved plan into the crop cycle used for operating work. Farm Manager reviews the field and season context before preparing the tasks that will carry out that intention.

Step by step

  1. Check field Farm Manager

Farm Manager reviews the field code, area and readiness. Resolve similar names before planning. Agree how Available, Planted, Fallow and Restricted guide the work considered for each plot.

    • Review field identity and readiness
    • Updates Fields
  2. Prepare plan Field Operator

Field Operator selects the field and records the crop variety, planting date, expected harvest date and planned area through the authorized crop-plan command. Farm Manager compares the intended area with the field register.

    • Record the planting intention
    • Updates Crop plans, Fields
  3. Validate and save Field Operator

Field Operator submits the plan. The command checks authority and evidence before writing, then saves the plan and returns source links. Resolve a refused request before trying again.

    • Save the plan and create or reuse its matching cycle
    • Updates Crop plans, Crop cycles, Fields
  4. Follow cycle Farm Manager

Farm Manager opens the crop-cycle detail created or reused for the plan. Check the field and variety before linking work. Record Planned, Planted and Growing as the season progresses and actual planting occurs.

    • Review the returned season record
    • Updates Crop cycles, Crop plans
  5. Recover a repeated request Field Operator

Field Operator repeats the same field, variety and planting date to recover the original plan. Farm Manager checks the returned plan before preparing an assignment against its intended crop cycle.

    • Return the original plan
    • Updates Crop plans

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Similar field names send a valid variety to the wrong plot.
  • Different variety spellings make the returned crop cycle hard to recognize.
  • A recovered submission is entered again as a new planting intention.
  • The operator cannot open the source links needed to check the saved plan.
