Keys and references
Entity, product, party and source-line references define the boundary of each transaction. The revision and decision references bind a human approval to the reviewed version. Stock events and integration events retain operation keys so a repeated event does not create a second economic effect. Preserve original order, receipt and invoice identities during migration.
Migration order
- Set entities and users. Establish legal books, permissions and policy authority.
- Load masters. Bring in units, products, customers, suppliers, warehouses and terms.
- Reconcile opening positions. Confirm stock, receivables, payables and cash at one cutoff.
- Start live documents. Create new orders and purchases only after the opening basis is accepted.
- Test corrections. Rehearse returns, count variances, settlement and close work.
