How a Cosmetics ERP rollout works
Prepare a representative dealer cycle and expand after its records reconcile.
Define the operating scope
Choose the legal entity, dealer segment, supplier, product range, warehouse and people for the first cycle.
Prepare master records
Review products, units, prices, terms, credit limits, tax, cost, policy and authority versions.
Reconcile opening positions
Confirm owned stock by lot and location, customer balances, supplier balances and bank accounts.
Run a representative cycle
Submit and approve an order, receive stock, reserve, dispatch, invoice and apply actual cash.
Test exceptions
Rehearse partial receipt, refused delivery, return, stock variance, duplicate event and a close decision.
Expand by source
Add further warehouses, dealers and products only after the owners accept the first cycle's evidence.
What the customer provides
Bring customer and supplier lists, product codes, pack conversions, warehouse locations, effective prices, terms, authority limits and opening balances. Identify who may approve each decision. Provide the bank, carrier and document connection owners and a sample of their real event evidence. Finance Manager should confirm the entity’s posting accounts and fiscal cutoff.
Changing it afterwards
Review an effective master version before activation. Keep accepted order prices and posted movements tied to their original source. Use a new decision for a material revision, and a linked correction for posted work. Rehearse the changed path with the people who will run it before expanding live access.
