Kitting and repacking teams
A cosmetics distributor may sell a promotional set assembled from stocked goods or repack an item into a different selling unit. The job needs an output product, an effective bill of materials and a routing. A released work order fixes planned output and the versions used for the job, so material and cost decisions can be reviewed against a stable basis.
How Cosmetics ERP is set up for you
Material basis
State component quantities per output basis and planned scrap before issuing stock.
Work execution
Record actual component issue, operator progress, good quantity and scrap.
Finished output
Accept terminal output at a location with a lot and allocated cost.
Dealer link
Keep order-linked work tied to the accepted sales line without changing its commercial amount.
Choose one kit made from two stocked products. Set the base units, output product and component quantities. Define the route with the operations that the warehouse actually performs and a current cost standard. Warehouse Manager reviews the planned quantity and releases the work order. Warehouse Operator issues material from available positions, records work and returns anything unused.
Complete part of the planned output and compare actual work-in-progress cost with standard value. A second completion should use only the remaining eligible output and cost scope. Finance Manager reviews any residual variance before the job is closed. The finished kit can then be reserved for an accepted dealer order using the same stock controls as other products.
Agree where scrap is held, who accepts terminal output and what evidence is needed for a cost exception. Keep commercial promotion decisions in the dealer pricing path and physical assembly in the work order path.
