How a E-commerce ERP rollout works

Start with one channel and warehouse, then expand the operating cycle.

  1. Set the operating scope

Name the entity, channel, store, warehouse and owners who make order, stock and finance decisions.

  2. Load reference records

Prepare products, channel SKU mappings, customer accounts, suppliers, currencies and warehouse locations.

  3. Rehearse a channel order

Bring in a received order, resolve its mapping, approve the local order and check stock before picking.

  4. Rehearse physical and finance results

Record a partial shipment, a return, an invoice, a captured payment and a settlement variance.

  5. Open the daily queue

Check Business Overview and the owner views, then expand to another channel after exceptions have named owners.

What the customer provides

Provide source identifiers for channels, stores and products, opening stock by warehouse, open supplier and customer orders, payment account details and the people authorized to decide each stage. Bring samples of a duplicate channel update, short pick and unmatched settlement line. Agree how historical invoices and open balances will be reconciled.

Changing it afterwards

Add channels only after their SKU maps, order source keys and settlement ownership are tested. Revisit permissions when a new entity or warehouse joins. Keep historical source identities and completed stock or finance outcomes when correcting a later mapping or status.
