Channel order acceptance

Follow channel order acceptance through decisions and exceptions.

Step by step

  1. Map channel SKU Channel Manager

Channel Manager checks each external SKU against the channel product mapping and its stocked product. Lines that need review stay visible. The received channel order can move to Mapped only after the mapping check.

  2. Approve channel order Channel Manager

Channel Manager checks the mapped lines, account, channel and source key. The manager approves or rejects the channel order; a rejected order does not enter local sales work.

    • Updates Channel orders, Sales orders
  4. Approve sales order Sales Manager

Sales Manager checks the account, entity, ordered quantities and stock position on the submitted local order. Approval releases the order to warehouse planning.

    • Updates Sales orders, Sales order lines
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A repeat external order key creates another local order instead of updating the existing channel order.
  • An unmapped or disputed SKU is treated as a stocked product because its title looks similar.
  • The channel order is approved while a line still needs mapping review.
