How an Electronics ERP rollout works
Start with one traceable dealer cycle and expand after reconciliation.
Set the scope
Choose the entity, dealer accounts, product units, warehouse and finance owners for the first cycle.
Prepare masters
Review product, price, supplier, customer, currency and posting versions before commercial use.
Load opening work
Reconcile inventory and open trade balances, then enter the open order and supplier commitments.
Rehearse the handoffs
Trace a partial order, receipt, delivery, invoice, cash application and return through their source records.
Review decisions
Have separate people prepare and approve each gated step. Check the evidence and remaining quantity after exceptions.
Release the cycle
Confirm access, connections and reconciliation owners before broader use.
What the customer provides
Provide current item and unit lists, warehouse locations, dealer and supplier identities, price lists, terms, bank account ownership and opening balances. Name the people responsible for commercial acceptance, warehouse release and finance decisions. Provide examples of partial shipments, rejected receipts and disputed deliveries for rehearsal.
Changing it afterwards
Version master changes and retain approved transaction snapshots. When a commercial or physical fact changes after posting, create the linked correction and review its effect. Rehearse the changed path with the affected teams before using it for live commitments.
