How a Footwear ERP rollout works
Set up a controlled first operating cycle and extend it after reconciliation.
Choose the pilot
Select a legal entity, warehouse, dealer, supplier and representative product range. Name the Sales Manager, Purchasing Manager, Warehouse Manager and Finance Manager who make required decisions.
Configure masters
Review currencies, units, product conversions, price lists, payment terms, posting profiles and authority policy. Keep each active version and effective date clear.
Bring in opening work
Reconcile stock and financial balances at one cutoff. Bring forward only the remaining quantity and value on open commitments, with original source identities.
Run a complete case
Take an order through approval, supply, receipt, picking, dispatch, invoice and cash application. Include partial quantities and one rejected decision.
Review and extend
Compare source records, stock events and journals. Resolve the exception queue and approve a broader site or entity scope only after the pilot balances.
What the customer provides
Provide legal entities, users and assigned scopes, active customers and suppliers, product units, warehouse locations, original open commitments, opening balances and the people who may approve each decision. Arrange bank and carrier connections where the operating process needs their external evidence.
Changing it afterwards
Change master versions through reviewed activation. Use a successor revision for an accepted commercial document and a linked correction for posted history. Rehearse authority, quantity and period effects before changing live policy.
