- Implement ERP for Logistics
How a Logistics ERP rollout works
Rehearse a customer lane, delivery decision, charge handoff and warehouse transfer before expanding operations.
Choose the operating pilot
Select a customer lane and the people responsible for capture, planning, delivery review and charges. Include warehouse-transfer work only after assigning its inventory administration scope.
Establish references and access
Configure customers, vehicles and staff identities. Agree capacity and weight units, date conventions and the access needed for the supported approval actions.
Rehearse intake and dispatch
Capture a freight order, identify its resulting Requested trip and assign vehicle, driver and planned dates. Have Dispatcher approve the trip and inspect Scheduled.
Rehearse delivery review
Record stop actuals and recipient proof, then have Transport Reviewer confirm the evidence and inspect the linked trip's completion. Include a disputed case and an incorrect trip association.
Rehearse charge posting
Finance Officer prepares a draft, the agreed reviewer approves it and the eligible charge posts for invoicing. Check the accounting result and recovery procedure before repeating an uncertain handoff.
Rehearse warehouse effects
Establish items and facilities, approve a transfer and inspect matching outbound and inbound movements. Resolve an incomplete pair in the rehearsal before releasing the process.
What the customer provides
Bring customer and fleet lists, staff identities and a real lane with a weight and promised date. Include a delivery proof example and the paperwork a reviewer should inspect. Agree who decides on a trip charge and what billing currency applies.
For warehouse work, bring item units, facility codes and an authorized transfer example. Identify the source of opening balances in any connected inventory system. Provide connection ownership and reference mappings through the approved setup process, then review the data model before import.
Changing it afterwards
Rehearse changes to driver identity, approval authority, charge mapping or stock units with an accepted case and a refusal case. Inspect existing results before retrying a changed connection. Preserve genuine delivery and posting evidence when changing the operating configuration.
