How a Printing & Packaging ERP rollout works

Pilot one trading cycle, reconcile each handoff and then widen the operating scope.

  1. Set authority

Agree on entities, roles, currencies, fiscal periods and approval limits.

  2. Load masters

Review product units, dealers, suppliers, price lists, warehouses and locations.

  3. Reconcile opening position

Match stock layers, receivables, payables and the opening journal to the agreed cutoff.

  4. Run a bounded cycle

Quote, approve an order, receive supply, fulfill part of it, invoice and apply cash.

  5. Review exceptions

Test a held dealer, partial delivery, returned goods and repeated external event.

  6. Expand

Add further sites, entities and product groups after the pilot balances reconcile.

What the customer provides

Provide stable source identifiers, legal entity ownership, product units, dealer terms, supplier terms, warehouse locations, opening balances and authority rules. Name the people who prepare and approve commercial, stock and finance actions. Supply external bank and delivery sources where those confirmations are needed.

Changing it afterwards

Revise master data through reviewed effective versions. Keep accepted orders and posted entries tied to the basis in force when they were approved. Use a linked correction for a posted error. Review roles and inspect the data model before widening the pilot.
