Multi-warehouse materials teams
A materials team with more than one warehouse needs a single account of where an entity's stock sits and who has claimed it. The warehouse record identifies the physical site, while each inventory position identifies legal ownership. Transfers retain owned transit during the journey and acknowledge only the portion that actually reaches the destination.
How Shipbuilding ERP is set up for you
Location control
Warehouse Manager assigns receiving, storage, picking, dispatch and held locations within each site.
Transfer review
The source and destination warehouse, product, lot and quantity are explicit before an approved movement is dispatched.
Transit visibility
The dispatched quantity stays owned while in transit. Partial destination receipts reduce only the acknowledged remainder.
Count evidence
A scoped blind count retains its locked population and observed variance for review before any adjustment changes stock or value.
A materials team with more than one warehouse needs a single account of where an entity's stock sits and who has claimed it. The warehouse record identifies the physical site, while each inventory position identifies legal ownership. Transfers retain owned transit during the journey and acknowledge only the portion that actually reaches the destination.
Select two warehouses permitted for one legal entity and a lot-controlled stocked product. Accept an initial supplier receipt into the source location. Reserve part of it for an order and transfer only eligible remaining quantity. Dispatch the transfer, record a partial destination receipt and reconcile the remaining transit. Check that an available-stock screen does not count transit as pickable destination stock.
Schedule a count of the destination location after the partial receipt. The counter records what is physically present without seeing an altered expected quantity. Warehouse Manager reviews any difference and Finance Manager reviews the value where required. A stock adjustment creates its own event; it does not rewrite the transfer or its original receipt. Expand to other sites after the first entity's movement and ledger value reconcile.
