Keys and references

Preserve stored record identities as well as human-readable numbers. Resolve each reference to its target before loading dependent rows. Dye lots.yarn lot is a text identifier: agree its matching convention with Lots.lot number. Garment sizes.Style identifies the product whose size balance is being recorded. Reconcile that style-level balance with accepted production during the operating review.

Map the employee used by personal work queues to the correct signed-in user. Retain original movement and source-log identities during imports so replayed events can be recognized. Review currencies, units and dates before combining source totals.

Migration order

  1. Load Users, People, Departments and Employees in dependency-aware passes, then resolve employee-manager references.
  2. Load chart of accounts, accounting periods, Warehouses and Locations; reconcile the intended opening balances.
  3. Load Products, Contacts and Suppliers, followed by supplier items, work centers, Calendars, Shifts and Operators.
  4. Load bill of materials, BOM components, Routings and routing operations, then inspection plans, characteristics and instruments.
  5. Load open customer demand, planning and purchasing scope; resolve work orders and their component and operation references.
  6. Load Lots and Inventory, then dye lots, garment sizes and production evidence. Reconcile receipts, invoices and journal sources before importing further events.
