Keys and references

Use the stored references rather than matching workers by name. Employee ID and the record’s Id identify the person; manager and approver references point back to Employees. A payroll statement belongs to a run and employee, and each statement line belongs to a statement. A course enrollment and training record each retain the employee and course links.

Migration order

  1. Load departments, locations, job titles, pay grades, payroll calendars, leave types, benefit plans and courses.
  2. Load positions, then employees with their current references.
  3. Load requisitions and candidate records, followed by applications, interviews and offers.
  4. Load balances, requests, timesheets and entries with their employee links.
  5. Load payroll, benefits, performance and training transactions only after their source records reconcile.
