What you can do

Separate a reservation from an admission

Each admission line belongs to a fixture. Its line number, quantity, reservation time and admission time let the operations team distinguish reserved space from people actually admitted. An attendee reference and provider receipt can help trace a line back to its source. The fixture’s capacity remains the upper bound for the event. A submitted team entry is useful context, but it is a separate record from the admission line.

Admissions Operator checks the open fixture before reserving. At the entrance, the operator records admission once against the existing line. The operation receipt retains the action key, expected revision and result state so a repeated attempt can be recognized. A completed reservation requires verified provider capture under the described workflow, and completion of an entry requires both capacity and payment evidence.

How the work is organized

  • Capacity. Compare reserved quantities with the fixture capacity before accepting more scope.
  • Attendance. Use the admission time to distinguish scanned attendance from a reservation.
  • Receipt identity. Keep the operation key and provider reference with the same fixture when an outcome needs review.

What to agree during setup

Agree how attendee references are issued and who may perform entry scans. Decide how an interrupted scan is checked before another attempt is made. Prepare the provider connection and verification responsibility before relying on captured payment evidence. Staff should know whom to contact when a receipt is pending or needs review.

Check the handoff on an actual case

At a match entrance, find an approved team entry and its open fixture. Reserve a quantity that fits the available capacity, then inspect the admission line and its operation receipt. When the attendee arrives, mark the same line admitted rather than creating a fresh reservation. If the device repeats the scan, use the existing operation key and admitted time to check the prior effect. Later, compare total admitted quantity with verified captures before the coordinator closes the fixture.

For a useful event-day check, select one fixture and follow a single admission line from reservation to scan. Ask which person performed the scan, when the admission was recorded and whether the provider receipt belongs to the same fixture. A line with a reservation time but no admission time belongs in the reserved count only. That distinction keeps entrance staffing and post-event review grounded in what actually happened.
