What you can do
Owned custody across depots
Warehouse Manager sees owned stock by organization, charger, depot, service area and custody state. Available quantity is distinct from on-hand quantity because reservations and held or picked stock cannot promise the same units again. Lot identity stays with the position where the product requires it. A movement event carries the quantity and value legs behind each change.
A transfer remains within one organization even when stock crosses depots. Dispatch creates an owned transit position; partial receipt resolves only the quantity actually seen at the destination. A count locks its scope and records a blind observed quantity before an independent adjustment decision. Neither a transfer request nor a count observation alone changes the posted value.
How the work is organized
- Source and scope. Show the charger, depot, location and custody state behind available quantity; held and picked units cannot be reserved twice.
- Decision and execution. Warehouse Manager approves the transfer, while Warehouse Operator records dispatch and the actual destination receipt.
- Exceptions and correction. Keep a partially received transfer in owned transit and tie any count adjustment to its blind observation and approval.
What to agree during setup
Agree depot and location codes, lot tracking, reservation priority and who can move held stock. Set the source and destination scopes for each transfer and identify the person who verifies a partial receipt. A count should lock its area before the counter enters observed quantity; a different manager reviews any adjustment.
Check the handoff on an actual case
Take one charger lot from a source depot, reserve part for an accepted order and transfer the remaining eligible stock to another depot. Dispatch less than planned, receive the actual remainder, and leave unresolved transit visible. Then count a storage area and compare expected and observed quantity before approving any correction.
Reserve part of a charger lot for an approved order, then transfer other eligible units to another depot. Receive fewer units than were dispatched. Confirm the remainder stays in transit, and count the destination location before approving a correction.
At each depot handoff, inspect the movement event and both positions. The source position should fall by dispatched quantity while the destination rises only by received quantity. The unresolved amount stays owned in transit until a later receipt or reviewed correction explains it.
What your team sees
- Warehouse Availability — Available, held and located charger positions by depot.
- Transfer Review Queue — Requests awaiting warehouse approval before movement.

What it keeps track of
Data model- Chargers
- Trade goods and assembly outputs; master values do not rewrite transactions.
- Charger units
- Versioned product-specific buy/sell packs and base conversions.
- Charging depots
- Physical sites may host segregated entity-owned positions; legal owner stays on each position.
- Service areas
- Shallow warehouse bins, staging and transit custody locations.
- Charger inventory positions
- Current owned stock by complete identity and custody state; provenance is not a second balance.
- Charger reservations
- Exclusive bounded demand claims through picking and owned transit.
- Charger transfers
- Same-entity transfer with actual dispatch/partial receipt and retained owned transit.
- Charger transfer lines
- Partial transfer quantities retain equal in-transit ownership and cost.
- Asset events
- One immutable group of stock movements and the associated journal effect.
- Asset movements
- Signed position/layer legs; transfers balance quantity and value by SKU.
- Asset cost layers
- Remaining quantity/carrying value with receipt/output/return lineage.
- Asset counts
- Blind scoped counts with explicit review and cost before adjustment.
- Count lines
- Observed base quantity and signed variance against an unchanged locked population.
- Count locks
- Time-bounded counted scope protecting all identities, including newly appearing positions.
Who uses it
Permissions- Warehouse Manager
- Controls transfers and counts; Warehouse Operator records assigned physical work; Finance Manager reviews material valuation decisions.
