Keys and references
Use the asset tag and serial number to verify physical equipment, but preserve record references when linking service activity. A work orders row points to one Assets row and an assigned team members row. Evidence, permits, parts and history reference the work order. A permit also names the issuing team member. Each part usage entry references the catalog part. A condition reading and preventive schedule reference the asset directly.
Migration order
- Prepare Users and team members, then verify active staff identities.
- Load Assets with tags, locations and starting states.
- Load spare parts with units, on-hand quantities and reorder points.
- Create preventive schedules and any historical condition readings that have clear dates and units.
- Bring in current work orders, followed by linked safety permits, work evidence, part usage and service history where the references can be verified.
