How a Facility Maintenance Mgmt rollout works

Start with equipment identity and rehearse one complete work cycle.

  1. Prepare records

Agree asset tags, locations, team identities, part units and starting quantities. Enter the equipment and people needed for the pilot.

  2. Set access

Give Permit Issuer, Maintenance Planner, Technician, Maintenance Manager and Parts Coordinator their operating scope. Rehearse a denied action for each decision boundary.

  3. Plan service

Record one preventive interval and one condition metric. Check the next due list and a threshold reading against the correct asset.

  4. Run a job

Request work, issue a valid permit, assign a technician, record evidence and parts, then accept closeout. Compare the resulting asset state and service history.

  5. Expand

Add more locations and assets only after the team can explain the pilot's records and handoffs.

What the customer provides

Provide a reliable asset list, team members, sample work orders, permit policy, part units and starting balances. The manager should name the person who accepts performed work. The planner should own due-date rules and the issuer should own permit interval rules.

Changing it afterwards

Review a change against an actual open job before adjusting roles, intervals or stock policy. Keep completed service history available so the team can understand why an asset returned to service. Recheck the permit gate after changing work types or assignment practice.
