The tables behind Factory Energy Management

Factory Energy Management ships with 11 tables, grouped here by the feature that uses them. Every record your team works with lives in one of them, and you can add fields and tables in Proto.

How the model is organised

Metering and Readings

Sites defines operating locations; Meters links each meter through Site. Meter readings stores read at, Value, quality flag and validation details. People links each staff record to Users through User.

Energy Intervals

Energy intervals links to Meters through Meter and records starts at, ends at, energy quantity, Unit and Status.

Operating Events and Maintenance

Operational events links to Sites. Maintenance tasks links to Sites and People through assigned to; its Status and completed at describe the task's progress.

Tariffs and Cost Review

Tariffs links to Sites and records effective from, effective to, rate per unit and Unit. Cost comparisons follow energy intervals.Meter to Meters.Site.

Production Allocations

Production allocations links to Meters and stores work order reference, starts at, ends at, allocated K wh and allocation method with validation details.

Emission Factors

Emission factors links to operational events through operational record and records energy type, Region, effective from, KgC o2e per K wh and source citation.

Keys and references

Use Id to reconcile operational records and meter number to identify the physical meter during setup. Confirm the actual source identifier mapping before importing observations. Work order reference is a text identifier owned by the production reference convention. Resolve it against the production source when configuring a connection.

For personal task views, resolve maintenance tasks.assigned to through People.User to the signed-in account. Users also contains a User reference to Users; retain that account relationship when mapping existing identities. Validation status describes evidence validation, while the Status on intervals, events and tasks describes each record’s own lifecycle.

Migration order

  1. Establish Users identities and their account references; map People to the correct User.
  2. Create Sites with the location, Timezone and Status used by the operating team.
  3. Link Meters and Tariffs to Sites, retaining reading mode, units and effective periods.
  4. Load meter readings and energy intervals with their actual dates and meter links.
  5. Load operational events and maintenance tasks with site and assigned-person references.
  6. Load production allocations after meters are mapped, then emission factors after the referenced events exist.
