Systems to connect

  • Meter gateways. Set up a connection to the source of meter observations when automated collection is required. Map the physical meter, recorded time, unit and quality flag before sending readings into validation.
  • Production planning. Connect the source of work order references if allocations will use production identifiers from another system. Agree the identifier convention and the actual period represented by each allocation.
  • Tariff sources. Import or maintain site rates from the source your Cost Analyst owns. Confirm effective dates and unit conventions before including a rate in cost review.
  • Emission factor sources. Bring in factors from the publications selected by Sustainability Analyst. Preserve the citation, regional basis and effective date so a reviewer can locate the original source.
  • Accounting and reporting. Set up the receiving destination for reviewed cost or emissions results when the operating team needs an external handoff. Agree the calculation method and the records needed to explain each result.

How connections are governed

Assign an owner to each connection and confirm which system owns the source identifier. Review a small sample before importing historical data. Preserve actual observation and operating dates, and make rejection reasons available to the person correcting the source.

Agree how repeat deliveries and corrected records are recognized before scheduling a feed. Test an unknown meter, a negative allocation and an incomplete factor citation. The receiving review should identify each issue clearly without presenting rejected evidence as accepted consumption. Keep connection credentials in the configured connection’s secure settings.
