Register a field and boundary

Keep field identity and surveyed geometry tied to the same plot.

Step by step

  1. Register field Farm Manager

Farm Manager creates the field with its name, code, location, area and availability status. The crew can use the code to distinguish neighboring plots.

    • Store plot identity, location, area and availability.
    • Updates Fields
  2. Record boundary Farm Manager

Farm Manager attaches surveyed geometry, survey date and area to that field. Check the field reference before using the outline for planning.

    • Attach dated geometry and surveyed area to the correct plot.
    • Updates Field boundaries, Fields
  3. Confirm field Farm Manager

Farm Manager compares the field area with the surveyed area and reviews any difference with Field Operator before assigning a crop cycle. There is no boundary approval stage.

    • Compare the linked records before planning.
    • Updates Fields, Field boundaries

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • A field name can look familiar while its linked record points to another plot. Compare the field code and location before using the cycle or task.
  • A date entered after the work changed can leave the next person reading an old plan. Open the current record at the handoff.
  • Quantities need their recorded units. Keep stock use, field measurements and harvest evidence on their own source records.
