Multi-site installers
A field organization can serve several locations while each installation has its own contract value, dates and milestone obligations. The site record gives the team a durable location and contact; the engagement gives each job its own delivery and commercial history. Regional managers can follow the work without losing the distinction between an active location and a new prospective site.
How Field Installation PSA is set up for you
Location intake
Create the site with its owner, organization, contact and billing terms before opening an installation engagement.
Regional ownership
Keep the site and the assigned technician connected to the organization responsible for the work.
Per-installation baseline
Record installation type, contract value, budget hours and date window on each engagement.
Field evidence
Link work orders, time entries and expenses to the correct engagement so delivery totals remain attributable.
Milestone follow-up
Keep due dates and payment records on the installation they belong to, even after its field status changes.
A field organization can serve several locations while each installation has its own contract value, dates and milestone obligations. The site record gives the team a durable location and contact; the engagement gives each job its own delivery and commercial history. Regional managers can follow the work without losing the distinction between an active location and a new prospective site.
A common operating case is a field team with an established site and a second location under discussion. The established site stays Active while the second is Prospect. The installation manager can plan a Proposed engagement for the new location, then move it to Active when the work begins. Technicians record their service lines against that engagement, so the regional manager can inspect progress at each location separately.
Start with one operating organization, a small set of sites and one installation engagement at each site. Confirm that each engagement has a manager, contract baseline and dates. Submit a billable work order with hours and check its approval result. Add a milestone and follow it through approval and invoice action, then link a payment record. Review the site and engagement lists together before extending the setup to more regions.
Agree who may change a site owner or billing term during active work. The same location can have several engagements, so a change on the shared site needs a clear reason and communication to the billing coordinator. Use the linked installation records for the job-specific decision rather than applying one engagement's state to the whole site.
