Acquisitive business groups
Group controllers adding businesses while preserving the evidence behind ownership and reporting changes.
How Financial Consolidation is set up for you
Effective ownership
Record acquisitions, divestitures and reorganisations as proposed changes with effective dates and supporting assessments. Approval establishes the applicable relationship and method. A percentage alone does not determine whether the entity belongs in full consolidation.
Method-specific workpapers
Use reviewed acquisition, investment/equity and allocation evidence. Different share rights or control changes cannot be represented by a universal minority-percentage formula. An unsupported treatment stays unresolved until the configured method is agreed.
Source onboarding
Reconcile the acquired entity’s source identifiers, opening balances, currencies and local accounts. Preserve accepted submissions and approved mapping revisions. Import success alone does not prove that the source close or acquisition adjustment is correct.
Reporting continuity
Freeze ownership and movement evidence with each financial revision. Cash flow and equity reports include reviewed acquisition and non-cash movements. A later correction goes through a new reviewed calculation and, when needed, a linked restatement.
Features to start with
Entity and ownership management
Keep the reporting group, ownership changes and account mappings ready for the next close.
Trial balance collection
Collect complete subsidiary balances and resolve exceptions before group calculation.
Currency translation
Translate accepted balances using reviewed rates and explain the currency movement.
