Process steps

Review account mappings
Consolidation Manager: Independently approve nonoverlapping local-to-group mappings; unresolved accounts remain exceptions rather than silently receiving a suspense mapping.
Open the close
Consolidation Manager: Create or idempotently receive the period from an authorised close integration. Record the reporting dates and revision. Neither an external period event nor an Admin setting certifies readiness.
Accept subsidiary balances
Consolidation Manager: Independently accept a frozen submitted revision only after balance, source period, currency and mapping checks. Count distinct required entities with current Accepted submissions; Submitted and Imported do not satisfy readiness.
Review required rates
Consolidation Manager: Resolve each required rate and independently approve manual replacements. Freeze approved rate and rule versions at the accepted source-layer granularity; missing historical layers stop translation.
Translate accepted inputs
Consolidation Manager: Calculate atomically from the frozen source set. The closing CTA is the reviewed balancing amount; period movement equals closing less prior published opening. Repeated runs do not add the closing amount again.
Build consolidated results
Consolidation Manager: Build one result set from the same complete run. Include the closing translation adjustment, posted elimination history and its linked reversals, and approved balanced adjustment and allocation effects. Validate account totals, entity coverage and movement reconciliations before review.

Validate the close population
The accepted submission count uses distinct entities in the frozen reporting population. A second file from one subsidiary does not replace a missing entity. Preserve the source-close identity, functional currency and account mapping evidence before acceptance. Unmapped lines remain exceptions even when the trial balance balances numerically.
Freeze the source and approved rate versions together when starting calculation. A replacement mapping or late ledger correction requires a new candidate and review. Partial calculation output must not become current merely because one entity finished successfully. Compare the replacement with the earlier run so reviewers can identify what changed.
