Delivery and authorized correction

Dispatch follows observed movement while keeping the original delivery commitment available. A completed delivery and an exception require different evidence. When the plan breaks, the supervisor decides what can be corrected or canceled without losing the record of work already performed.

Step by step

  1. Record movement Dispatcher

The Dispatcher records the load as in transit when movement is observed. Retain actual stop arrivals and departures with their proof references. Keep the original promised delivery time available while discussing progress with the transport partner.

    • Dispatched to in transit with actual stop evidence
    • Updates Loads, Load stops
  2. Complete delivery Dispatcher

When the recipient receives the load, record actual delivery and the completion action. The load moves from in transit to Delivered, with the original promise retained. Complete the relevant assignment and inspect the delivery receipt.

    • In transit to Delivered; assignment Completed
    • Updates Loads, Load assignments, Operation receipts
  3. Review an exception Transport Supervisor

If the remaining movement cannot proceed as planned, the Dispatcher presents the excepted load and its retained actual evidence. The Transport Supervisor authorizes the appropriate correction or cancellation of unexecuted scope. Record the current revision and the reason for the decision.

    • Current remaining scope reviewed and authorized
    • Updates Loads, Review decisions, Record attachments
ApprovalA person approves before the work moves on.
  4. Retain the correction outcome Dispatcher

Keep the compensating action receipt with the original operating evidence. After authorization, mark the excepted load canceled for its unexecuted scope. Confirm externally controlled effects with their responsible source; a local correction does not automatically reverse them.

    • Compensating evidence; authorized Exception to Cancelled
    • Updates Operation receipts, Loads, Load stops

Where it usually breaks

And how to keep it from happening.

  • Lost delivery promise. A revised estimate replaces the original commitment used for lateness comparison.
  • Too much scope canceled. A correction fails to distinguish completed physical work from the unexecuted portion.
  • Financial assumption. Delivered status is interpreted as settlement of the carrier invoice without accounting evidence.
