How do I get started?
Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Food Bank Management for your business. Pilot one organization, active location, item and lot, then carry a request through review and allocation.
What is the difference between a reservation and a movement?
A reservation claims eligible quantity for a request. A posted movement records the actual signed stock effect.
How are lots chosen?
Check the item’s lot-tracking choice, the lot’s release state and expiry, and the request’s organization and location before claiming it.
Who approves an allocation?
Independent Reviewer examines the submitted allocation, parent request revision, decisions, attachments and stock evidence before approving or rejecting the allocation.
Can the request owner review the same request?
Set up independent reviewer access so a preparer cannot approve that same scope. The decision records the reviewer and source revision.
What happens when an operation result is uncertain?
Open Operation Receipts keeps pending, failed and review-needed results visible. Review the original key and posted effects before another action.
How do we correct a posted movement?
Record a bounded linked reversal and preserve the original movement history.
Does approval mean food was delivered?
Approval records a human decision. Confirm the operation result and any downstream distribution acknowledgment before marking completion.
Can locations belong to different organizations?
Each location has an organization reference. Check that it matches the request and item before a stock operation.
