What you can do

Give submitted kitchen work an independent release decision

The Kitchen Lead prepares a ticket against its parent meal order. Table code, sent time, guest count and delivery reference can add context for the release. The ticket revision identifies the exact request being reviewed. Submission moves it to the supervisor queue; a later edit must be considered against the current revision.

Keep a returned or rejected decision attached to the order. It tells the preparer what needs correction without treating the old submission as if it were already approved. A second release attempt should return the prior operation result or be reconciled against actual effects before anyone repeats the work.

How the work is organized

The team uses the order and its linked records as the shared reference. Changes belong to a known actor and the current revision. A status records progress, while the dated record and its evidence explain what happened.

  • Named ownership. Kitchen Lead prepares and submits; Kitchen Supervisor makes the independent decision.
  • Exact scope. The parent order and ticket revision identify the exact submission under review.
  • Visible result. Decision time, reviewer reason and operation receipt distinguish approval from completed release.

What to agree during setup

Agree which ticket details matter for a table or delivery order, which evidence supports them, and who reviews a changed revision. Rehearse a rejected guest count and a resubmitted ticket. The Kitchen Supervisor must see the new revision, rather than relying on an earlier approval.

Check the handoff on an actual case

For an evening service order, the Kitchen Lead submits a ticket showing the table code and guest count. The Kitchen Supervisor checks the order, the submitted revision and any supporting attachment. The supervisor records a reasoned approval or rejection. Only an approved revision proceeds to release; the ticket is Completed after the intended effects are persisted.

Have the Kitchen Lead find the rejection reason on the parent order and correct the ticket. The Kitchen Supervisor checks the new revision and records a fresh decision. A release that times out stays under review until its operation receipt and intended effect agree.
