What you can do
Assign each order to an operating context and accountable owner
Organizations carry the operating name, code, time zone and currency. Service locations belong to an organization and hold a contact, address, eligibility note and active state. Team members belong to an organization and link to a platform user. The order records its organization, owner and counterparty location.
Agree who maintains location eligibility notes and who resolves an inactive location before order acceptance. A time zone choice matters when reviewing service and event times across operating organizations. The location record describes where service is directed; it does not replace the order or the actual service event.
How the work is organized
The team uses the order and its linked records as the shared reference. Changes belong to a known actor and the current revision. A status records progress, while the dated record and its evidence explain what happened.
- Named ownership. Admin maintains organizations, locations and team members; Service Coordinator assigns the order.
- Exact scope. Organization, counterparty location and owner connect the meal order to the operating team.
- Visible result. Active location, contact, address and time zone help the team confirm where service is due.
What to agree during setup
Agree which organization owns each location and which team member accepts orders there. Check active state, contact and address before using a venue. Set a time zone for the organization and team member so service times can be interpreted consistently. Decide who maintains an eligibility note when a location changes.
Check the handoff on an actual case
For a catering service at an active venue, Admin checks the location address and contact before the Service Coordinator takes an order. The coordinator assigns a team member as owner and chooses the venue as the counterparty. The owner can then use My Meal Orders to follow the accepted commitment through service.
Ask the owner to find the assigned order and verify the counterparty location and service time. If the venue becomes inactive, Admin updates the location and the coordinator reviews affected open orders. The team keeps the original order reference while resolving any changed destination.
