How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure GRC for Banking and Financial Services for your business. Pilot one organization, one business unit and one assessment period with a failed test, corrective action and independent retest.

What does an assessment cover?

An assessment names a subject, organization, business unit, owner and period. Its planned control tests and scope statement define what the team will examine.

Can a test result include exceptions?

Yes. Each control test records a sample size, exception count, result and evidence reference. The exception count should not exceed the sample size.

How does a finding stay connected to its source?

The finding references the assessment and tested control. Keep its description and severity specific to the observed exception.

Who closes a finding?

A separate reviewer records a retest with evidence. A passing result supports closure; a failed or inconclusive result leaves work open.

Can an action owner verify their own correction?

The action owner submits the correction. An Independent Reviewer examines it, and the owner cannot stand in for that reviewer.

What does an assurance decision mean?

Approve, Reject and Return are recorded with a reason against the examined assessment revision. The decision does not itself change the parent assessment outcome.

How are evidence files shared?

Attachments belong to an assessment and carry an Internal or Shared visibility value. Agree the permitted audience before importing files.

What can Operations Overview show?

It brings tests performed, failed tests, pending review decisions and failed operations into a filterable exception queue.
