Who it's for

Nursery growing teams

Nursery teams often repeat varieties and inspect young plants before harvest or transfer. A separate crop cycle for each planting gives the manager a stable way to assign work and compare expected timing with the outcome. Use the field link for the physical area where the work takes place, even when the same variety appears in nearby plots.

How Greenhouse Management is set up for you

Variety history

Keep crop and variety on each cycle so repeat plantings can be compared.

Inspection work

Assign a person and due date to inspection tasks for a specific cycle.

Field findings

Record dated observation type, measured value, unit and notes by field.

Applied inputs

Keep nutrient readings by field and applicator, and link stock use to the task and lot.

Nursery teams often repeat varieties and inspect young plants before harvest or transfer. A separate crop cycle for each planting gives the manager a stable way to assign work and compare expected timing with the outcome. Use the field link for the physical area where the work takes place, even when the same variety appears in nearby plots.

Begin with one field and two plantings of the same variety. The manager enters each crop cycle and checks that the planned dates identify the intended planting. Assign an inspection task to a grower and have the grower record an observation in the field. Review the observation beside both cycles and decide which task or follow-up it informs.

When a feeding task is needed, let the manager approve it before application. The grower records the work and applied nutrient, while the stock controller records the exact input lot and consumed quantity. Reconcile the two application records in their stated units. This makes a repeat planting's history clearer when the team later asks why it differed from the first.

At harvest, a reviewer checks the actual harvest record and cycle link. A measured observation value is useful context, but the harvest quantity is recorded on the harvest itself. Agree the unit and grade vocabulary before the pilot so the comparison is meaningful.
