Production greenhouses
A production greenhouse may run repeated plantings of the same crop in several growing areas. Give each planting its own cycle and link the cycle to the field that the team actually works. The manager can see what is planned, growing or harvesting while the grower works from assigned tasks. Keep the physical area naming consistent before entering many cycles.
How Greenhouse Management is set up for you
Recurring crops
Separate each planting so its tasks and harvests remain with the correct cycle.
Assigned care
Use irrigation, feeding and inspection task types with a due date and named person.
Input control
Record stock lots, expiry and quantities used against the actual field task.
Harvest review
Let a named reviewer check the dated quantity, unit and grade before closure.

The manager can see what is planned, growing or harvesting while the grower works from assigned tasks. Keep the physical area naming consistent before entering many cycles.
Pilot one growing area with a crop that has a short, familiar operating cycle. Enter the field, one planned cycle, a planting task and the staff accounts involved. Follow the task from manager approval to completion. Add one input lot and record a real application against a task. The stock controller should reconcile the remaining lot quantity before another use.
When the cycle reaches harvest, enter the actual pick and have a separate reviewer check it. Compare the expected harvest date with the recorded date and review the cycle before closing it. This rehearsal gives the team a way to agree on naming, status changes and corrections while the records are still easy to trace.
The surveyed zone record can hold the boundary for the growing area if the team maintains mapped geometry. Field observations and nutrient application readings can add dated context during the growing stage. Decide which of those records the team will enter consistently at the start, and expand after the core cycle is working.
