Choose a patient number convention, enter a sample patient and assigned clinician, then record the relevant consent and care-team assignment. Schedule an encounter with a visit type and date. Have the clinician record a note and observation, then assign a follow-up task with a due date. Add a charge only after the encounter context has been checked.

Open Scheduled Visits, Care Tasks In Progress and Visits Awaiting Review as the intended roles. Confirm the patient, clinician, encounter and note references. Rehearse a cancelled visit, withdrawn consent and escalated task. If billing, laboratory or pharmacy systems participate, test those handoffs with their record owners before broadening use.
