An operator assembling kits or repacking trade goods needs a reviewed recipe and a way to explain material use, finished output and residual work in progress. Dealer demand can retain its source link through production and delivery.
Choose one kit with an active output product, reviewed BOM, routing and standard cost. Purchasing Manager obtains the required components and Warehouse Operator records arrival and accepted quantity. Warehouse Manager checks that the planned kit quantity is positive and that the current component basis supports release. A later recipe change applies to future work rather than silently changing this work order.
Record partial component issue, operation progress and finished output against the released order. The person recording actual use should show scrap separately from the planned allowance. Warehouse Manager confirms finished units once, and Accountant reconciles residual work in progress and cost. If material variance remains, Finance Manager reviews the exception before close. Repeat the completion request during rehearsal to check that stock is not posted again.
Connect the finished kit to a dealer order with a partial shipment. Sales Representative and Sales Manager should be able to distinguish the accepted dealer quantity from produced stock and delivered units. When a component is late, retain the unfilled order balance and the work order remainder. Check the route outcome and invoice basis only after the finished units are eligible to ship. This keeps production, physical fulfillment and the dealer's financial balance on their own source records.
