How do I get started?

Click Get started, then use Proto to configure Hospital Canteen Management for your business. Start with one ward, a small patient set and a complete meal-service case.

What is a meal order linked to?

Each order links to a patient and a ward. Related requests, tasks, lines, charges and receipts link back to the order.

How do we see work awaiting acceptance?

Use Requested meal orders to inspect the patient, ward, dates and count before the Property Manager accepts the request.

Can a task be assigned to a named person?

Yes. A task names an assigned team member and has a due date and status.

How are diet meal requests represented?

A linked service request carries its type, service date and meal count. The service type can be Standard or Special Diet.

Where is the menu item recorded?

A meal line carries its menu item, meal date and amount against the linked order.

What happens to a draft charge?

The Finance Officer can review a Draft meal line or diet charge before it is Posted or Voided.

Does serving an order confirm payment?

A payment record has its own Pending, Confirmed and Refunded status and provider reference. Finance checks it separately from service.

How do we check ward availability?

A ward has Available, Occupied, Cleaning and Maintenance states. Review the ward and its open tasks before reuse.

What should we test before a wider rollout?

Run one request through acceptance, service tasks, charges and receipt reconciliation. Include a changed date or count and a repeated action.
