How the model is organised

People and positions:

Employees, Departments, Locations, Positions, job titles, pay grades and employment history establish the person, seat and dated change.

Recruitment and offers:

Job requisitions, Candidates, Applications, Interviews and Offers connect an opening to a candidate decision.

Leave and time:

Leave types, leave balances, leave requests, Timesheets and time entries keep policy, request and worked time distinct.

Payroll and benefits:

Payroll calendars, payroll runs, pay statements, pay statement lines, benefit plans, benefit enrollments, tax jurisdictions and tax filings connect pay and enrollment detail to a period.

Performance and learning:

Performance cycles, performance reviews, Goals, Courses, course enrollments and training records tie evidence to a person and cycle.

Transitions:

Onboarding checklists and onboarding tasks assign work; workflow decision receipts hold recorded workflow decisions.

Keys and references

Use employee ID, position code, requisition number and other stable record identifiers during migration. Preserve references to Employees, Positions and Departments instead of matching by display names. Check a candidate and requisition pair before making a second application. Keep one payroll run per intended calendar and period, with statements linked to that run. A historical employment event remains separate from the employee’s current fields.

Migration order

  1. Load Users, Departments, Locations, job titles, pay grades, Positions, leave types, benefit plans, payroll calendars and tax jurisdictions.
  2. Load Employees with their department, position, manager, grade and payroll calendar references.
  3. Load employment history, leave balances, benefit enrollments and existing training records against the correct employee.
  4. Load active job requisitions, Candidates, Applications and Interviews, preserving identifiers and dates.
  5. Load current leave requests, Timesheets, performance cycles, Goals and performance reviews.
  6. Reconcile payroll runs, pay statements, pay statement lines and tax filings by period before operational use.
