Keys and references

Keep the employee identifier stable through hiring, time, pay and reviews. Requisition, offer, run and statement numbers support operational lookup; their references determine which records belong together. Country, entity, currency and effective dates should be checked on each record where they appear. Exchange rates carry a separate effective date for comparison across currencies.

Migration order

  1. Organization. Load Departments, Locations, job titles, pay grades, Positions and tax jurisdictions.
  2. Schedules and rules. Load payroll calendars, leave types, benefit plans, Courses and performance cycles.
  3. People. Load Employees with valid position, department, location, manager and calendar references; then reconcile employment history.
  4. Transactions. Load open requisitions, applications, offers, leave balances and requests, benefits, time, reviews and learning records.
  5. Pay evidence. Reconcile payroll runs, pay statements, pay statement lines and tax filings by period and jurisdiction before using them for a new cycle.
