- Regional operations groups
Regional operations groups
An operations group with field, office and remote teams needs local rules alongside a common view of people. Locations carry country and tax jurisdiction. Employees carry entity, employment type and payroll calendar, while leave types can vary by country and employee class.
How Multi-country HRMS is set up for you
Local leave
Leave types state accrual method, rate and documentation requirement for a country and class.
Time capture
Dated time entries distinguish regular, overtime, double time and on-call work.
Payroll review
Entity-specific calendars and runs keep period, currency and totals together.
Tax obligations
Filings carry jurisdiction, type, due date, amount and status.
An operations group with field, office and remote teams needs local rules alongside a common view of people. Locations carry country and tax jurisdiction. Employees carry entity, employment type and payroll calendar, while leave types can vary by country and employee class.
Start with one location and one calendar. Agree the leave types used by that population and check opening balances as of a known date. Have an employee submit leave and a weekly timesheet, then record the approval decisions. Payroll Admin can compare approved inputs with the employee statement and the run totals.
When another location joins, review its country, jurisdiction and calendar rather than copying the original setup without inspection. A shared register still lets leadership compare employee distribution, while local payroll and filing records stay attached to their legal entity and authority.
Use the next payroll period as a check on the new location. Compare the employee list with the calendar, inspect approved time and leave, and have Payroll Admin review the statement totals before the run is posted.
